Hydrogen peroxide manufacture  

Project goal:

– Localization of hydrogen peroxide production in the Republic of Kazakhstan

-Import substitution (no hydrogen peroxide production in RoK)

Production capacity: hydrogen peroxide up to 10 thousand tons/year.

Project location: SEZ Chemical Park Taraz, Shusky district, Zhambyl region.

Input material: natural gas

for the construction period: up to 300 persons

for the period of exploitation: up to 100 persons

  • Independent development of business plan of the project

Manufacture of Polyethylene and Polypropylene through MTO technology (methanol-to-olefins)

Project goal: production of polyethylene and polypropylene through MTO (methanol-to-olefins) technology

Production capacity: up to 450 thousand tons of polymers per year

Project location: SEZ Chemical Park Taraz, Shusky district, Zhambyl oblast

Input material: natural gas

Number of workplaces: up to 500 workplaces in operation

Current status and future plans: search for a strategic partner, joint development of the Business Plan and feasibility study of the project



Production of phosphorus trichloride and glyphosate

Project goal: Production of trichloride phosphorus and glyphosphate using local (caustic soda, hydrochloric acid, chlorine, yellow phosphorus, etc.) and imported resources (formaldehyde, IDAN) to sell glyphosphate and glyphosphate containing herbicides to domestic markets of the Republic of Kazakhstan as well as for export.

Production capacity: glyphosate – 10 thousand tons / year, trichloride phosphorus 13.6 thousand t/y (fully for the production of glyphosate), herbicides based on glyphosate – up to 5 thousand t/y.

Place of project implementation: SEZ Chemical Park Taraz, Shu district, Zhambyl region.

Feedstock: yellow phosphorus, chlorine, caustic soda, formaldehyde, iminodiacetonitrile (IDAN).

Number of jobs:

during construction: up to 667 people;

during operation: 436 people.

Share in fraction: over 50%.

Current status and future plans:

  • The project is implemented by 4 launch facilities.
  • DED was developed and a positive conclusion of the state expert examination was received for 1, 2, 3 and 4 launch facilities.
  • 1 launch facility (warehouses for storing raw materials and finished products) – construction completed.
  • 2 start-up complex (formulization workshop, container workshop) – construction completed, facilities put into operation, production of herbicides (formulizations) started.
  • 3 launch facility (general plant infrastructure facilities) – construction has been completed; startup and adjustment works are in progress.
  • 4 launch facility (Main technological production of technical glyphosphate and trichloride phosphorus) – implementation suspended until a strategic partner is engaged.
